Can you believe its been 10 years since their audition?

It's crazy to think that Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina were on American Idol ten years ago! In their season, season 10, the show had underwent a lot of changes, including Randy Jackson returning as judge and Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler joining the judging panel.

Scotty auditioned for American Idol in Milwaukee and sang "Your Man" by Josh Turner and Travis Tritt's "Put Some Drive In Your Country." Not only did Scotty audition with that song, but you'll remember that the show aired many humorous clips of Scotty singing the song in various locations. Scotty originally planned to audition in Nashville but had a conflict with the date. Lauren did audition in Nashville and sang "Like We Never Loved At All" by faith Hill and Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing."

Both Country Artists from the get go, both Scotty and Lauren gained a lot of Country fans throughout the season. At the finals, they were the two left standing, but it was Scotty who was crowned the winner. At 17 years, seven months old, Scotty became the youngest male winner of American Idol and the second youngest overall winner behind season six winner Jordan Sparks.

Let's take a walk down memory lane with these videos! First up, Scotty's audition...
