Teacher Accused Of Breaking Fingers Of Special-Needs Student

Education

A teacher in the Northside ISD is on administrative leave as the district investigates claims she broke the fingers of a special-needs student. The teacher reportedly injured Rihanna Everett, a fourth-grader at John Hoffman Elementary School, by stepping on her hand last Friday. Rihanna suffers from a genetic disorder that afflicts her with tumors. Campus nurses were checking the girl for a self-inflicted bite when two of her fingers were broken. The district has alerted the Northside ISD police.
