San Antonio and Bexar County officials are encouraging people to get vaccinations and boosters so as to prevent a holiday coronavirus surge. San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff say even people who have already had a case of the virus should be vaccinated, and people who are vaccinated should get a booster six-months after their second dose. The infection rate is dropping in San Antonio after a surge in the fall, but now the omicron variant is looming on the horizon.
