San Antonio's Emergency Housing Assistance Program reportedly still has more than $50 million to help local families pay the rent. The program has helped more than 42-thousand struggling households pay their rent, mortgage and utilities since the pandemic came to town last year. The advocacy nonprofit Texas Housers recently recognized the program as the best performing program of its type in Texas.
